Managing the Service Menu
The service definition controls price, duration, staff, resources, and online booking.
📍 Admin → Service Management
Everything bookable — massages, facials, cabanas, kayak rentals, shuttle — is a service inside a service group. The service definition controls its price, duration, who can perform it, what resources it needs, and how it appears for online booking. Requires admin permissions. Changes take effect immediately for new bookings, so make edits outside peak booking hours.
🛠️  Editing a service
1
Open Admin → Service Management. The tree shows the 9 active service groups; "Add New Service Group" creates another.
2
Expand a group (e.g., Massage) and click a service to open it.
3
Review the Profile tab: active flag, name, type, group, department, GL account, class/subclass/category, service code, duration, pre-time and clean-up time. (Example: Relaxation Massage 60 Min = 1 hour + 15 minutes clean-up.)
4
Work through the other tabs: Location Default (price/availability per location), Skill Level Setting (pricing by technician skill), Resource Settings (rooms/equipment required), Service Profile (online-booking description), Add-on Services (upsells offered with this service), Yield Rules (dynamic pricing — KB-31020).
5
Click Edit to change values; save when done.
Never delete a service with history
Untick Active instead — deleting breaks the reporting history behind it.
🔍  Worth knowing
  • Clean-up time is why back-to-back bookings leave gaps — it's part of the service definition, not the Scheduler.
  • Add-on Services on each service is where upsells are attached — currently barely used (add-on revenue 0.54%).
  • Technician qualification comes from Staff Management → Service Profiles — a technician missing there won't appear when booking that service.
