Once every five to seven years the Interface server will need to be replaced at Manteo and the Eldorado.
Here is what you need to have\do for the process to go smoothly.
- Interface service accounts. Manteo has two IFCJazzware and IFCSquirrel. Eldorado doe not have any yet though a document has been attached to this article explaining how to create the accounts. Elavon does not need one.
- Elavon Bridge will need to be installed on the new server ahead of time. Please schedule a member of Elavon tech support to be on call in case Opera needs them during the migration.
- Approval of the Oracle Support Request. If you have not done this before a document has been attached to the article with detailed instructions. The Oracle tech will need approval for access to services.
- Have access to a user with Administrator Privileges and Chain Administrator Privileges.
- Have the Opera server login handy. The installer will need this to build the new interfaces.
- Make sure that the new server takes the IP for the old server. This will allow you to migrate the interfaces without contacting vendors as their interfaces would point to the original server IP.
- Full updated server will all major updates and firmware updates.
- Server will need a serial interface for Squirrel and 16 GB or Ram with a 500GB HD.
