How to Request File or Folder Access

ACCESS LEVEL - REQUIRED [ ] Read-only (view files, but cannot modify, save, or delete) [ ] Full edit access (read, write, modify, delete) [ ] Specific permissions - explain: DURATION [ ] Permanent - this is now part of my role [ ] Temporary - needed until: ___________ (date) [ ] For a specific project - name and expected end date: APPROVAL - REQUIRED Has this been approved by the resource owner or your manager? [ ] Yes - approved by: ___________ [ ] Not yet - please contact the resource owner for approval REASON FOR REQUEST Briefly explain why this access is needed for your work: 👥 Why "copy access from" matters
Argus IT manages access with a reference-user model: "copy access from Jane Doe" mirrors her access groups, mapped drives, SharePoint memberships, and folder permissions in a single operation — the fastest, most accurate way, and how it's always been done here. Without a reference user, each folder, drive, and site has to be identified individually — a 5-minute request becomes hours of investigation. 💡 Genuinely don't know who has the access? That's fine — say so in the form and we'll identify a reference user with your manager, or escalate to the resource owner if the access doesn't exist yet.

💡 Some changes (especially on-prem file shares) need you to sign out and back in before they take effect — we'll tell you if that applies.
