ADOBE ACROBAT LICENSE REQUEST ============================= Requester name: Company email address: Job title: Property / department: APPROVED BY (manager / GM): Approval date: (If approval was via email, attach or paste it.) LICENSE TYPE [ ] Acrobat Pro (full feature set - recommended for most users) [ ] Acrobat Standard (basic editing only) [ ] Unsure - please advise REASON FOR REQUEST (e.g., "redacting guest records before sharing," "combining vendor invoices for accounting," "filling forms from suppliers") URGENCY When do you need this by: Is this for a specific project or deadline: 🆔 Create your Adobe ID
Required before IT can assign your license — without an Adobe ID, the license has nowhere to go. It must use your company email address.
💡 Save the Adobe password somewhere safe (a password manager is best) — you'll need it during the install session, and Adobe accounts are separate from your Argus login.
🛠️ The install session
Don't install Acrobat yourself — several configuration steps need IT present to avoid licensing errors; DIY installs usually end in a follow-up ticket. IT replies to your ticket with time windows — pick one, or explain your constraints and we'll find a time. Be at your assigned Argus workstation for ~30 minutes.
❓ Common questions
"Why can't I just download it myself?" Without an assigned license you get a 7-day trial, then it stops working. The license assignment to your Adobe ID is what makes it permanent. "Why so long?" Adobe's license processing is the slow part (up to 3 business days). IT handles the local steps within hours. Submit early in the week with approval already secured. "Can I have a temporary license?" No temporary licenses exist through Argus IT. One-off PDF edits: Microsoft Word opens and edits many PDFs directly; online editors exist (never with confidential Argus documents); or print, edit, scan. "Can someone else use my license?" No — licenses are per-user, tied to individual Adobe IDs. Sharing violates Adobe's terms and can get the license deactivated. "Pro or Standard?" Pro for most Argus use — redaction, advanced editing, OCR, form creation. Standard is slightly cheaper but missing those. Unsure? IT will advise from your request. ✅ After installation
