Checking a Guest In
Marks the guest as arrived — and surfaces what staff must know before the service.
📍 Front desk → Customer check-in
ℹ
Check-in marks the guest as arrived so the technician knows, starts the visit workflow, and surfaces anything staff must know (allergies, VIP, intake form status) before the service.
✅ The check-in
1 Open Front desk → Customer check-in. The list shows today's arrivals ("For Check-in Today"); search by customer name or phone if the list is long.
2 Read the row before checking in: time, service, technician, facility, plus Indicators (new guest, online booking, intake form status, notes) and Guarantee icons.
3 Click "Notes/flags" to read any notes; click "Details" to open the full appointment (confirmation number, special remarks such as Allergy or VIP, itinerary and price).
4 Click "Check-in" on the row. The guest's state changes and the appointment turns purple ("in service") on the Scheduler when the service starts.
5 If the guest's intake form is incomplete (red "g" icon), have them complete it at check-in.
🔍 Worth knowing
- The green left edge of a row indicates status; the "…" menu holds further actions.
- The same screen has Check-out and Advanced search tabs — Advanced search finds any appointment by confirmation number, customer, technician, service group or date range.
💡 A guest not on the list may be booked for a different day or location — use Advanced search before assuming they have no booking.
