You want to be mobile and have your work email wherever you go. Here are a few instructions to get you started. Please note that Four Points has ActiveSync so it theoretically should be a simpler operation. Theoretically...
First the Phone and the Client:
If you are using an IPhone and Accessing Exchange mailboxes it is very simple. If you have an Android it gets a bit more complex.
IPhone for Argus Email Accounts
Click on the mail icon if this is your first account being added to this phone. It will ask you what type of account. Please choose Exchange, and then proceed. If you have already have an email account configured then go to Settings -> Passwords & Accounts -> Add Account->Exchange.
Type in your email address and press Next.
You will need the following information, and please use Manual Setup:
- Email Address: vkruggel@argusproperties.ca
- Password: ******
- Description: Vincent Kruggels Argus Email (or whatever you want)
- Server: mail.argusproperties.ca
- Domain: arguspro
- Username: vkruggel
If you have entered everything in correctly your email will be added right away. I have done this quite a few times so it does work. If it does not work go to
https://mail.argusproperties.ca/owa. Use the credentials given too you for the email account and see if they work. If they do not work then contact the person who sent you the credentials. This is the email webportal for Argus and if it does not work here then something may be wrong.
For Android users please download the Outlook email app and then add the email account using the Server and Domain listed above.
FourPoints and Eldorado Resort Email
These two sites use Office 365 as the email provider and have the user workstation passwords synchronized to the email account. Therefore the passwords are always the same and the user just needs to know one password.
Now before you set up the phone for email please test your password at www.office.com. Your will be asked to enter your email account and password. If this works then please go onto the next step.
If you have an Argus Phone your email will already be set up with Outlook. If this is a personal phone then please understand that the following will happen when connecting to the email service:
- Your phone will fall under the Argus Mobile device management.
- This means that Argus can do the following... Erase company data, lock your phone, erase emails, demand a longer password, require your phone to adhere to more rigorous security protocols.
- Argus will not be able at anytime to capture data\spy on you. This would be This is quite impossible with this technology. All Argus is trying to do is protect its data.
- If this is just not in your best interest then all the best, but you will not be able to have email on your personal device.
Once you have decided that this is for you please watch one of the videos below depending on what phone platform you are running. Please note that your phone will be placed under quarantine and a ticket will need to be placed with Argus IT to have it released from quarantine.
