For the occasions when the server must be power-cycled at the source — and nobody can find it.

Do NOT do this without Squirrel or Argus IT involvement

Power-cycling the Squirrel server on your own can corrupt open transactions and takes integrations offline. This article exists so the server can be found when Squirrel or Argus IT directs a power-cycle — not so it can be restarted casually.

📍 Where it is

Go to the back of the server rack next to the wall — the server is in the first rack.

Open the attached photo below this article (Four Points Squirrel Server Location.jpg) and look for the computer the arrow points to.

🔌 How to power-cycle it (when directed)

Press and hold the power button until the unit turns off.

Wait 30 seconds.

Power it back on.

If it will not turn off from the button, pull the power cable as a last resort.

💡 A full server restart takes several processes offline — afterwards, follow Things to Keep in Mind When Rebooting the Squirrel Server (KB-170002) to bring everything back in the right order.
